:: NY14SCBWI ::

I'm off to my very first SCBWI Winter Conference!

Dear future SCBWI BFFs, please find me this weekend for your very own origami pirate bookmark. I'll happily walk you through this origami pirate girl model. Or if you're courageous, you can try to figure it all out on your own. For those that need a hint, there's a handy video tutorial below.

Just can't wait to meet you all. :)

:: Top 28 Picture Books (+9 runners up) ::

Wow! Time certainly flies! It was a year ago that I created this little collection of my favourite picture books out of Lego. When I'm not reading these titles to my (now one year old) son, they sit proudly on his bookshelf.

The links below also contain some of my written thoughts on each book and why I love them so. Feel free to check them out on my Pinterest boardFlickr setTumblr account and/or Facebook page too!

:: Drinking Games ::

Drinking Games

I grew up playing 8-bit video games and loved how their basic graphics sparked our young imaginations.
This design salutes those video games of the past with drinking games from the present.
If you like this design, please feel free to vote for it here!

2013 SCBWI Canada East Conference

Heading to Montreal for the annual #SCBWI conference, so I punched a pile of shiny new buttons to share.

I'm off to Montreal for the Annual SCBWI Canada East Conference! It's been a pretty hectic month with completing my pre-conference project, organizing and printing my portfolio, and preparing for an out of town trip while just getting all my regular work done.

Anyways I punched a pile of shiny new buttons to share with my new picture book friends. I've been chatting online with illustrators group, but it'll be nice to finally meet everyone in person and finally put some faces to names.

This is my first time attending a SCBWI Conference... wish me luck!
